Directions to Lewes, DE
From Washington, D.C.:
- DC-295/MD-295 to US-50.
- Continue on US-50 to Wye Mills Queen Anne Rd. to MD-404.
- Continue on MD-404/313 to the Denton Bridgeville Rd.
- Continue on Bridgeville Rd. into Bridgeville.
- Take a left on Market St. and a right on S. Main St. S. Main St. picks up US 13.
- Continue on to DE-404/DE-18 to Georgetown. You will go through the center of Georgetown which will look like a giant circle. At this point, you will be on (you guessed it) Circle St.
- Turn right on E. Market St. and pick up US-9. US-9 will run you all the way to Lewes.
- Once in Lewes (US-9) will become Savannah Rd. Go another 3-4 miles until you see a Dairy Queen that is right on the beach.
- Take a right at the DQ and go another 1.5 miles and you will be in the park.
- Pay the park attendant ($2.50 DE/ $5 out of State).
- Take the next left, and then left again.
- Follow the drive as it bends to the right, and you will see the pitches on your right.
- Parking is straight ahead, and may be limited at first. Park rangers and WRFC volunteers will direct you to additional parking.
From Rehoboth Beach to Cape Henlopen State Park
- Take Route 1 North about 5 miles and turn right at U.S. 9 North.
- Follow U.S. 9 North past Lewes and the entrance to Cape May - Lewes Ferry.
- Follow the signs to Cape Henlopen State Park.
- Once inside the park, follow the signs/directions to the rugby grounds.
